 in Algarve Cup
Eve plays 90 for the Republic of Ireland
Algarve, Portugal – Toronto Lynx U20 Woman's Keeper  Eve Badana earned her first cap for the Republic of Ireland women's senior team. Badana has been on the roster for Ireland for just under a year earning her first start against Hungary today playing all 90 minutes. The match was in the first round of the 19th annual Algarve Cup held in Portugal. Ireland fell 1-0 to Hungary. Badana and the Irish, in group C, take on Wales Friday, March 2
in a match scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

BRADENTON, Fla. – The 2012 Super Y-League Girls ODP National Camp came to a close on Sunday at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Fla. with many bright young stars hopeful they will make it to the next level. After an intense four days of training, teams were selected for the
final scrimmages, with the 95/96 Selects Teams meeting the IMG Academies
Girls U-18 ’A’ and ’B’ squads.

Taylor (Mikael) McNamara Returns to Dayton Dutch Lions

DAYTON, Ohio -- The Dayton Dutch Lions FC are pleased to announce midfielder Mikael McNamara will play his second year for the Dutch Lions FC in USL PRO. DDL FC re-signed the 25-year-old Canadian for the 2012 season after he made 18 appearances in the 2011 season.

 
 

McNamara was named Most Valuable Player at SUNY Albany in his Junior year of college,
and was the captain of the USL PDL's Toronto Lynx for two years before he signed a contract with the Dutch-American club. McNamara had three goals in 10 games
during the 2010 PDL season for the Lynx.

The Toronto Lynx’s Konner McNamara, has moved through the club’s program, from playing in its Super Y-League program into the Super-20 League and ultimately the PDL. Now the tall center back is aiming to move into the professional ranks, and a good showing at the USL PRO Combine presented by Umbro might help him reach that goal.

TORONTO LYNX ADD U21 TEAM FOR 2012

February 2, 2012 -U21 Provincial League Addition

The Toronto Lynx Soccer Club today announced the addition of a Men's U21 team to compete in the U21 Provincial Division of the Ontario Soccer League in 2012.

" We are very excited about this opportunity to play and compete in more games here in Toronto" commented Club Head Coach Duncan Wilde. "We have a very strong senior player pool and this level of competition will prove vital as we continue the development process in preparation for the next step into our PDL team at U23" he added.
The Toronto Lynx PDL, USL U20's and now OSL U21's will all train daily throughout
the season at Centennial Park Stadium.

TORONTO LYNX PDL PLAYERS INVITED TO ATTEND USL COMBINE
January 6, 2012
A. McKenna K. McNamara Academy Director and PDL Coach Duncan Wilde is very proud to announce that 2  PDL players have been selected to attend the USL Men's Player Combine.
Midfielder Aaron McKenna and Defender Konnor McNamara will be doing their best to showcase themselves in front
of the attending USL and MLS scouts and International Pro Clubs with hopes of securing a pro contract.
Connor started with the Lynx Academy, moving up through U20 and into PDL while completing his University scholarship.   Aaron joined the PDL squad last year.  We would all like to wish Konnor and Aaron the very best of luck!!!!

CRAWFORD NAMED TO D2 SOUTH CENTRAL REGION CONFERENCE TEAM
JAN 17, 12- U20 Toronto Lynx defender, Eric Crawford of Northeastern State University was honoured as member of the NSCAA First Team
Crawford was the only freshman chosen to the team, which represents teams from Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and New Mexico..

having a great season!
Philadelphia, Pa. – Drexel Eve Badana (Markham, Ontario) has been named this week's
Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week. Badana posted two shutouts as Drexel
went 1-0-1 over the weekend at home.

TORONTO LYNX AWARDED #1 NORTH AMERICAN RANKING
.   The United Soccer Leagues (USL) have announced the TORONTO LYNX SOCCER CLUB as the #1 ranked club in the 2011 "Super 20" North American rankings released this week. The U20 Lady Lynx secured a second undefeated regular season, to win back to back New England division championships
The U20 Toronto Lynx Men eventually fell to their Mid West divisional rivals Columbus Crew, in the North American final last weekend in Tampa Florida. "Finishing Runner up in such a highly competitive league is a massive achievement for Toronto" Stated Club Head Coach Duncan Wilde. He also added " Qualification from the strongest division in North America, was itself a fantastic accomplishment.

 USL PDL "Team of the Week" in the last 2 weeks!
Last week Konnor McNamara was named as a defender of the week for his continued solid and consistent work as central defender for the Lynx. This week goalkeeper Mike Watkins was named as Goalkeeper for his last two game shut outs helping the PDL team to 6 big points!
